SUKHBIR, MAJITHIA CONDOLES THE DEMISE OF RATNESH SODHI, EDITOR AKALI PATRIKA
CHANDIGARH, JUNE 2: Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Punjab today expressed deep grief on the demise of Mr. Ratnesh Sodhi, Editor-in-chief of Daily Akali Patrika, who expired today at Jalandhar due to cardiac arrest. The cremation ceremony would be held on Sunday at Model Town cremation ground at 1 pm. Mr. Sodhi was survived by a son and daughter.
Remembering more than five decades long services of Mr. Sodhi in the print media, Mr. Badal said that it was a great loss to the journalism profession and our society, as Mr. Sodhi was known for his values in journalism and he lived for those values and principles till his last breath.
Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia, Information and Public Relations Minister also condoled the death of Mr. Ratnesh Sodhi. He said that the services of Mr. Sodhi in the field of journalism would always be remembered by all.
Mr. Badal and Mr. Majithia prayed to Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
