Tis Hazari Court would resume recording of the the statement of the prime witness Ashish Kumar in connection with three missing persons from Ludhiana , this when serving DGP of Punjab Police Sumedh Saini, was serving as SSP Ludhiana. He is the prime accused in the case.The Tis Hazari Court halted recording the statement of Ashish Kumar, after some documents of Punjab and Haryana Court were found missing.
The court started recording the statement of Ashish Kumar after his 90 yr old mother urged upon Chief justice of Supreme Court and High Court to hear the case on day today basis, so that she can see the judgment before her death. Vinod Kumar brother of Ashish Kumar, his brother-in-law , and their driver Mukhtiar Singh were kidnapped in 1994, the CBI found Saini and three other police officials responsible for their disappearance.
